How long does a commission take, and can you work to a proposal date?
Most commissions are finished within two to five weeks of design approval. Pieces with intricate hand finishing or rare coloured stones can take four to eight weeks. If a proposal date is fixed, tell us at your first consultation so we can plan the schedule backwards from it. We will say honestly whether the date is realistic, and where it is tight we can sometimes arrange priority production for a modest fee. Starting early is the surest way to a relaxed finish.
